Kaleidoscope is a non-profit association founded in 2013 with the aim of developing activities to promote universal access to information and culture. Kaleidoscope was created with the desire to unite people of various areas with a common goal of helping all individuals, regardless of their abilities, to access different areas of culture on an equal footing. They believe access to knowledge through cinema , museums , music and the media is a key element in personal development and a decisive factor in the social integration of individuals.

The founding members come from translation and interpretation and are researchers in audio description for visually impaired people in movies and museums. Audio description is an accessible translation mode consisting of intersemiotic translation of images into words.

Through audio description and other techniques and resources to help transform and enrich the ways of access to information and culture to adapt to human diversity, Kaleidoscope aims to create a “culture for everyone”.
